Strange Country
Tropical Contemporary presents, Strange Country, a screening of video pieces by artists Morganne Wakefield, Julia Oldham and Jesse Rose Vala.
What potentials does a landscape hold? What ghosts, what possibilities, what powers? Three artists and filmmakers- Morganne Wakefield, Julia Oldham, and Jessie Rose Vala, take on themes of movement, transformation, embodiment, and personae in their work.
These screenings will showcase video pieces from each of these artists shown in a 34-minute sequence.

Strange Country will open with a screening event on Friday, March 2nd from 6-9pm. Gallery Hours will be on Saturday, March 3rd from 1-4pm and a final screening will be on Sunday March 4th from 1-2pm.
