"The language of memorials is possibly that of history or nostalgia. I was once looking through my father’s yearbook, trying to find an image that looked like me (someone I might be able to relate to). I found an image of William “Tony” Banks. I copied the image. I showed it to my father and he asked, “how did you know your cousin passed away?” I’m interested in the serendipitous bond I have with certain images. Soul. Soul. Soul. I was extremely grateful that day."
