Draw a Drag Queen (May 19th, 2018)
Tropical Contemporary presents: Draw a Drag Queen - a pop-up performance and public figure drawing extravaganza!
On May 19th from 4-6 pm, we invite the community of Eugene to participate in creating beautiful drawings of fabulous local drag queens. David Garfield, Daine Rott, Elen Degenerate, and Genuine Farce, in glamorous attire, will pose in Kesey Square for the public to draw. Following posing, the queens will each put on a performance. We will provide drawing stations and materials. All skill levels are encouraged!
Draw a Drag Queen is a part of Tropical Contemporary's summer programming in downtown Eugene called A Visible Spectrum which aims to celebrate the spectrum of identity through expression and art.
Draw a Drag Queen (October 9th, 2018)
Draw a Drag Queen returns October 9th at the EMU on University of Oregon campus! Drag queens will be in glamorous attire, will pose in the Lease Crutcher Lewis (Room 23, in the EMU) for the public to draw. Four queens/kings/nonbinary performers (@facisha_farce, @clare.apparently, @beezusbackstage, and @carina.borealis) will be doing a series of short poses. Following posing, the queens will each put on a performance. We will provide drawing stations and materials. Event is free, and all skill levels are encouraged!
